Understanding the Prospective Marriage Visa / How to apply to a Fiancé Visa Letter

The Prospective Marriage Visa is designed for individuals residing outside Australia who plan to marry their Australian partner after arriving in the country. 

It remains valid for nine months from the date of approval. Within this period, the Prospective Marriage Visa holder must enter Australia, tie the knot with their sponsoring partner, and proceed to apply for a partner visa while here the Australian borders.

Unfortunately this visa cannot be extended while staying in Australia.
